Inserción en el mercado maboral de los profesionistas en turismo

Abstract

El papel de las universidades es proveer al aparato productivo de capital humano calificado para el desempeño de las actividades económicas, sin embargo, desde el punto de vista del perfil de formación profesional, no necesariamente los profesionistas se desempeñan en actividades para las cuales fueron formados, esta no correspondencia podría indirectamente, propiciar la eficiencia en el trabajo en que se desempeñan, e incluso, necesario para la inserción en el mercado laboral. En este trabajo se analiza, por una parte, la relación del ingreso y la ocupación, y por otra, la relación de los profesionistas en turismo y su inserción en el mercado laboral, con el fin obtener información sobre los efectos de la correspondencia o no de la formación profesional, el ingreso y el empleo; para distinguir las competencias que los profesionistas deben tener, para con esto fortalecer la currícula del programa educativo de formación profesional. El análisis se aplica sobre la información de la Encuesta Nacional de Ocupación y Empleo, 2008, con el modelo de análisis factorial de correspondencias para determinar subgrupos diferenciados y el modelo propuesto por Mincer para estimar el ingreso con relación a la ocupación. Algunos de los resultados obtenidos mostraron que la participación en el mercado laboral de los profesionistas en turismo es de 65.9 por ciento; la tasa de desocupación es de 5.6 por ciento; el 65 por ciento de los profesionistas en turismo son mujeres. Por otra parte, con relación a los ingresos, los profesionales en turismo perciben ingresos 18.82 por ciento menos con relación a otras profesiones del grupo y al promedio del área de formación del grupo que pertenece, y 24.78 por ciento menos con respecto al resto de los profesionistas, finalmente, los profesionistas en el área de turismo tienen principalmente ocupaciones relacionadas al apoyo en actividades administrativas.
