Abstract

[Einleitung ...] Der Sächsische Technologiebericht 2018 wirft vor diesem Hintergrund einen breiten Blick auf die Faktoren, welche für die technologische und die wirtschaftliche Leistungsfähigkeit des Freistaates Sachsen von Bedeutung sind. Er beschreibt ausführlich die Entwicklung in den letzten Jahren und stellt die Positionierung Sachsens relativ zu anderen deutschen Ländern und im internationalen Vergleich dar. Die Darstellung erfolgt entlang von Einzelindikatoren, basiert auf Analysen zu verschiedenen Themenbereichen (wie Hochtechnologiegründungen, Innovationsverhalten von Unternehmen) oder erfolgt durch die Betrachtung von Indices. Hierzu gehören das Regional Innovation Scoreboard (RIS) als europaweit etabliertes Instrument zum Vergleich der Innovationskraft von Regionen sowie der spezifisch für den Sächsischen Technologiebericht entwickelte Sächsische Innovationsindex (SIX), der an bestehende Innovationsindices anknüpft. Ziel ist es, die Besonderheiten und hauptsächlichen Merkmale des Innovationssystems in Sachsen herauszuarbeiten und im Vergleich zu den übrigen neuen sowie den alten Ländern einzuordnen und zu bewerten. Für zahlreiche Indikatoren werden auch internationale Vergleiche herangezogen. Ein besonderer Fokus wird auf die Technologieaspekte des Innovationsgeschehens gelegt. Die technologische Weiterentwicklung, auch und gerade über FuE-Aktivitäten, steht im Mittelpunkt.
