Abstract

Die Wiener Stadtwirtschaft unterliegt einem erheblichen Strukturwandel: Binnen eines Jahres werden in Wien etwa 60.000 Arbeitsplätze neu geschaffen, während ebenfalls 60.000 verloren gehen. Rund 45% der Wiener Arbeitnehmer wechseln ihren Arbeitsplatz; etwa 10% der Beschäftigerbetriebe werden neu geschaffen bzw. geschlossen. Auf dem Arbeitsmarkt zeigt sich eine Segmentierung in Arbeitskräfte mit stabilen und instabilen Arbeitsverhältnissen. Während junge und kleine Unternehmen in Wien rascher wachsen als im Österreich-Durchschnitt, entwickeln sich größere und ältere Unternehmen unterdurchschnittlich.
