    Abstract

    Las parejas de hecho, como nuevo modelo de convivencia familiar, reclaman una respuesta del derecho en un Estado social como el español. La distribución de competencias entre el Estado y las comunidades autónomas ha dado lugar a una reglamentación diversa y compleja. Las comunidades han generado una normativa propia en un contexto caracterizado por la ausencia de una ley estatal. La obra pretende clarificar el panorama atendiendo especialmente al derecho autonómico, sin dejar de considerar las perspectivas del derecho comparado y el derecho europeo. Hoy las parejas de hecho son familia y, en consecuencia, sujeto de las políticas familiares. En un marco de transformaciones sociales y frecuentes cambios normativos se apuntan líneas de evolución. Está claro que no se ha dicho aún la última palabra. La crisis de la familia no ha terminado y el derecho tendrá que intentar ir respondiendo a las necesidades sociales de la forma más adecuada.
