Abstract

Esta obra analiza, tanto de forma actual como retrospectiva, las tendencias de formación familiar en nuestro país, aportando asimismo un estudio comparativo de España con respecto a los países industrializados. El conocimiento del proceso de constitución de nuevas familias es clave para entender la dinámica geográfica de todas las sociedades y por ello el equipo de autores se ocupa de temas tan relevantes para esta dinámica como la transición de la juventud a la edad adulta, las fuerzas de unión en la pareja, la fecundidad por orden de nacimiento, la relación entre familia y vivienda o la disolución del matrimonio. La obra constituye un análisis científico riguroso que matiza los numerosos pronunciamientos de marcado carácter ideológico de los que es frecuente objeto el tema de la familia, aportando a todos los interesados en la Demografía y en las Ciencias Sociales una completa panorámica de su actual situación en España.
