Abstract

Esta obra continúa la línea iniciada con otro estudio publicado también por la Fundación BBVA en 2005, El stock y los servicios del capital en España (1964-2002): nueva metodología, en el marco de un programa de investigación desarrollado por la Fundación y el Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Económicas (Ivie) desde hace más de una década.Supone un importante avance en la investigación de la economía regional en España, pues se presentan en él, por primera vez, estimaciones de stocks de capital (bruto, neto y productivo) localizadas en las comunidades autónomas y sus provincias, y elaboradas de acuerdo con las recomendaciones metodológicas más recientes de la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económico (OCDE).Se parte de una desagregación de la inversión por dieciocho tipos de activos, manteniendo el máximo detalle de lasinfraestructuras públicas y de tres activos identificados como los responsables del crecimiento económico en los años noventa del pasado siglo: software, hardware y telecomunicaciones.La base documental, que ha sido ampliada, se presenta en un CD adjunto y ofrece materiales de trabajo completos y actualizados.
