Abstract

Expone el autor los diferentes procesos de apropiación territorial en la provincia de Antioquia durante los siglos XVI y XVII, con énfasis en las dinámicas de poblamiento del Valle de Aburrá y, cómo este se convierte en el centro articulador de la región. Así mismo, se desarrollan los procesos de formación de elites regionales y el sistema económico que da sentido a las dinámicas mencionadas.
