Colombia en el sistema internacional: su proyección en Asia (Colombia in the international system: its projection in Asia)

Abstract

Es en Bangkok, Tailandia, en el marco de una serie de ciclos académicos realizados entre el 11 y 16 de diciembre de 2013, donde encontraremos la génesis de este libro. La suma de esfuerzos enmarcados en el Plan de Promoción de Colombia en el Exterior, que coordina la Dirección de Asuntos Culturales del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores, con el concurso decidido de la Embajada de Colombia en Tailandia y la colaboración de académicos tailandeses y colombianos, permitió discutir en tres universidades de ese país y ante sus autoridades gubernamentales, el papel de Colombia en el sistema internacional actual y su proyección en Asia. Así, agradecidos con todos los que hicieron posible este esfuerzo, surgió y se dio esta propuesta colectiva, que suma perspectivas culturales y disciplinarias, y revalúa nuestra percepción de la lejanía geográfica y temática, entre el sureste asiático y Colombia, y que invitamos a disfrutar.
