Abstract

El estudio de las bases romanísticas del Código Civil colombiano en materia de obligaciones constituyó el tema de tesis doctoral que, bajo mi dirección, realizó la Dra. González de Cancino y que, en el año 1998, en sede del Salón de Grados de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (uam), obtuvo la máxima calificación de sobresaliente cum laude por unanimidad, otorgada por un Tribunal presidido por el Prof. Juan Miquel, catedrático de Derecho Romano de la Universidad Pompeu Fabra de Barcelona, e integrado por los Vocales, Prof. José María Miquel, catedrático de Derecho Civil de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Esteban Varela, catedrático de Derecho Romano asimismo de la uam, Prof. José María Castán, catedrático de Derecho Civil de la Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, y Prof. Juan Miguel Alburquerque, titular a la sazón de la Universidad de Córdoba, y actualmente catedrático en esa Universidad.
