Abstract

Tratados ambientales internacionales y negocios es una herramienta práctica para el aprendizaje de la materia de Derecho ambiental internacional, de su influencia en los negocios y del potencial de su aplicación en América Latina y el Caribe. Presenta la evolución histórica del tema y facilita las herramientas esenciales para entender el desarrollo de los tratados internacionales ambientales. Estudia los principales tratados internacionales ambientales según los ejes principales de acción actual agrupados en tres temáticas: biodiversidad; atmósfera y clima, y sustancias peligrosas y residuos. El texto brinda una mirada jurídica, y también económica y empresarial de los temas, que atiende a la respuesta (social, económica y política) del contexto. Tiene un espíritu manifiesto de poner el tema al alcance de todos, condición necesaria para lograr los objetivos finales de la preservación del planeta, y sostiene que sólo sobre lo que se comprende se puede actuar.
