Abstract

Cada año en el marco de las Jornadas Internacionales en Derecho del Medio Ambiente se busca desarrollar de manera exhaustiva un tema ambiental de actualidad. Finalmente y luego de algunas discusiones dentro del grupo de investigación, los autores decidieron por estudiar la relación entre derecho y cambio climático, decisión que les impuso todo un reto. El Grupo de Investigación en Derecho del Medio del Medio Ambiente de la Universidad Externado de Colombia asumió esta tarea desde finales del año 2009, y hoy, gracias al apoyo decidido de autoridades ambientales, institutos de investigación, catedráticos de prestigiosas universidades europeas y expertos locales, entre otros, se puede presentar el libro Derecho y cambio climático, que tiene como objetivo estudiar el tema del cambio climático desde la perspectiva jurídica, sin dejar de lado asuntos extrajurídicos necesarios para lograr la integralidad de la investigación. El libro Derecho y cambio climático está organizado en cuatro partes: la primera de ellas examina aspectos técnicos; la segunda identifica algunos de los principales impactos del cambio climático; una tercera está dedicada al análisis del presente y futuro del Protocolo de Kyoto y la cuarta parte estudia el papel del derecho frente al cambio climático.
