La obra está dirigida a estudiantes del tema financiero, así como a los profesores y profesionales que intervienen en el estudio o la toma de decisiones financieras: analistas, contadores, administradores, gerentes y asesores. Por ser un libro preparado por un autor latinoamericano, sus ejemplos se hacen aplicables a nuestras condiciones particulares de países en desarrollo, enmarcándolo dentro del contexto de la economía mundial y nacional, de los sectores empresariales y de las circunstancias políticas y regionales específicas.
