Abstract

In the North American context, Quebec can boast of doing well in terms of sustainable development and the fight against climate change. It is part of the carbon market, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and can rely on significant clean energy production through hydroelectricity. Will Quebec be able to take advantage of its enviable situation to successfully make the transition to a more environmentally friendly economy? For its eighth edition, Le Québec économique takes stock of this issue.
