Das Textil-, Bekleidungs- und Ledergewerbe im Freistaat Sachsen : Untersuchung im Auftrag des Sächsischen Staatsministeriums für Wirtschaft und Arbeit

Abstract

Die vorliegende Studie befaßt sich mit den Industriebranchen Maschinenbau, Elektroindustrie, Textil-, Bekleidungs- und Lederindustrie sowie dem Papier-, Verlags- und Druckgewerbe. Diese traditionellen Schlüsselbereiche der sächsischen Wirtschaft haben nach der Wende einen besonders tiefgreifenden Wandel durchlaufen und repräsentieren heute zusammen 35% des Umsatzes im verarbeitenden Gewerbe. Insgesamt ist die Zahl der Beschäftigten in diesen Branchen zwischen 1991 und 1995 von 320.000 auf 88.000 geschrumpft. Nach wie vor besteht ein erheblicher Anpassungsdruck, der auch auf die wettbewerbsverschärfenden Folgen der Globalisierung zurück zu führen ist.
