Abstract

Nachdem die Europäische Währungsunion in Kraft getreten ist, richtet sich nun das Interesse darauf, ob die EU als Stabilitätsgemeinschaft Bestand hat. Schon 1996 hatte die EU im Stabilitätspakt Kriterien festgelegt, denen die Euroländer dauerhaft entsprechen müssen: Welche ökonomischen und politischen Probleme können aber durch diesen Stabilitätspakt entstehen? Wie ist demgegenüber eine Stabilitätssteuer zu beurteilen?
