Österreichs internationale Lohnstückkostenposition 2018 neuerlich etwas verbessert

Abstract

Die anhaltend gute Konjunktur hatte im Jahr 2018 eine Verbesserung der Lohnstückkostenposition der Herstellung von Waren gegenüber dem gewichteten Durchschnitt aller Handelspartner zur Folge. Die Produktivität stieg kräftiger als in den Vergleichsländern, während sich die Arbeitskosten im Durchschnitt der Vergleichsländer erhöhten. Diese günstige Entwicklung wurde maßgeblich durch die Lohnstückkostenposition relativ zu Deutschland und den anderen EU-Handelspartnern bestimmt. Gegenüber den außereuropäischen Handelspartnern war, auch aufgrund einer Aufwertung des Euro, eine Verschlechterung der österreichischen Lohnstückkostenposition zu verzeichnen.
