Langfristige Beschäftigungseffekte des hochrangigen Straßennetzes in Österreich. Eine kontrafaktische Analyse

Abstract

Eine Verbesserung der Infrastruktur bewirkt eine stärkere Vernetzung im ökonomischen Raum und erhöht den Aktionsradius von Personen und Unternehmen. Diese Produktivitätseffekte stehen in direktem Zusammenhang mit Beschäftigungs- und Wachstumseffekten. Nach den Ergebnissen einer kleinräumigen Analyse wurden in einem Umkreis von 8 km der 2002 bis 2007 eröffneten hochrangigen Straßenverbindungen aufgrund des Baues dieser Straßen 21.883 bis 24.314 zusätzliche Arbeitsplätze geschaffen.
