Konjunkturerholung schreitet voran

Abstract

Nach einer Stagnation der österreichischen Wirtschaft im 1. Halbjahr 2013 festigte sich die Aussicht auf eine etwas günstigere Konjunkturlage zuletzt. Die exportgetragene Sachgütererzeugung erholt sich langsam, der Produktionsindex stieg sowohl im Juli als auch im August leicht. Die aktuellen Vorlaufindikatoren und Umfragewerte zogen im Oktober erneut an, wenngleich die Unternehmen Rückschläge in den nächsten Monaten nicht ausschließen. Nach der rückläufigen Tendenz im 1. Halbjahr 2013 dürften die Einzelhandelsumsätze im III. Quartal wieder gewachsen sein. Die Konjunkturschwäche belastet weiterhin den Arbeitsmarkt, bei steigender Beschäftigung nahm die Zahl der Arbeitslosen neuerlich zu.
