Spannungen in der Weltwirtschaft nehmen zu

Abstract

Die internationale Konjunktur schwächte sich in den letzten Monaten ab. In den Schwellenländern entwickelt sich die Wirtschaft zwar dynamisch, in den USA war das Wachstum im II. Quartal aber neuerlich gering. Vorlaufindikatoren deuten auch für den Euro-Raum auf ein Nachlassen des Aufschwungs in kommenden Monaten hin. Die schwächeren Wachstumsaussichten erhöhten die Besorgnis über die Verschuldung der öffentlichen Haushalte in den USA und im Euro-Raum und lösten Spannungen auf den Finanzmärkten aus. In Österreich entwickelte sich die Wirtschaftsleistung im II. Quartal weiterhin gut, die Inflationsrate lag allerdings deutlich über dem Durchschnitt des Euro-Raumes.
