2007 Hochkonjunktur mit Wachstumsvorsprung für westliche und für Industrie-Bundesländer

Abstract

Im Jahr 2007 begünstigte die dynamische Exportnachfrage das Wirtschaftswachstum in den westlichen sowie in den von der Industrie geprägten Bundesländern: Die Wirtschaft der westlichen Bundesländer ist aufgrund der geographischen Lage intensiv mit der der großen EU-Ländern verflochten, und die Sachgüterproduktion profitierte am meisten von der guten Exportkonjunktur. So fiel das Wirtschaftswachstum in der Westregion (+3,9%) um 1,1 Prozentpunkte stärker aus als in der Ostregion; in der Südregion stieg die Bruttowertschöpfung um 0,1 Prozentpunkt langsamer als im Österreich-Durchschnitt (+3,3%). Wegen der großen Bedeutung der Industrie zählten nicht nur Oberösterreich (+4,6%) und Vorarlberg (+3,9%), sondern auch Niederösterreich (+3,5%) zu den wachstumsstärksten Bundesländern. Umgekehrt blieben aus diesem Grund Wien (+2,4%) und das Burgenland (+2,4%) in Bezug auf das Wirtschaftswachstum am deutlichsten zurück. Auf dem Arbeitsmarkt setzte sich die Entspannung in allen Bundesländern durch eine Ausweitung der Beschäftigung und einen Abbau der Arbeitslosigkeit fort. Vor allem weil das Arbeitskräfteangebot zunahm, fiel der Rückgang der Arbeitslosigkeit im Süden sowie in Tirol am schwächsten aus.
