Direktinvestitionen österreichischer Unternehmen in Ost-Mitteleuropa

Abstract

Im Jahr 2003 schloss sich Österreichs Direktinvestitionslücke – die aktiven Auslandsinvestitionen der österreichischen Wirtschaft erreichten erstmals das Niveau der ausländischen Investitionen in Österreich. Einen bedeutenden Beitrag zu diesem Aufholprozess lieferten Investitionen in den MOEL. Nach dem regen Engagement in den ostmitteleuropäischen Nachbarländern ist nun tendenziell eine Verlagerung des Interesses zu weiter entfernten Ländern der Region zu erkennen. Trotz leichter Positionsverluste in den MOEL 5 ist Österreich in Ost-Mitteleuropa weiterhin ein wichtiger Investor, die Chancen aus Ostöffnung und Erweiterung wurden gut genutzt.
