Wirtschaftswachstum bleibt stabil

Abstract

Österreichs Wirtschaft wuchs im I. Quartal 2006 real um 0,6% gegenüber der Vorperiode. Die Konsumnachfrage der privaten Haushalte begann sich zu stabilisieren, deutlich dynamischer entwickelte sich die Export- und Industriekonjunktur. Der WIFO-Konjunkturtest vom Mai zeigte in der Sachgütererzeugung einen Spitzenwert in der Beurteilung der Auftragsbestände. Umsatzsteigerungen im Großhandel sowie die Expansion im produzierenden Bereich deuten auf eine Belebung der Investitionen. Dank der guten Konjunktur wurden Beschäftigung und Stellenangebot ausgeweitet.
