Fördersysteme der Universitätsausbildung und Mobilität der Studierenden in Europa

Abstract

Österreich wendet vergleichsweise viel für universitäre Ausbildung auf; dabei ist aber der Mittelbedarf der Infrastruktur relativ groß im Vergleich mit der direkten Studienförderung. Die Gefördertenquote ist relativ niedrig. Die finanzielle Unterstützung der Studierenden und/oder ihrer Eltern macht 13% aller Kosten aus. Studiengebühren liefern nur einen geringen Deckungsbeitrag zu den Universitätskosten. Wie auch in anderen Ländern, die Studiengebühren einheben, ist die Höhe der Gebühr vom Grad der Bedürftigkeit der Studierenden abhängig. In Österreich nehmen die Studierenden die Möglichkeit von Studienaufenthalten im Ausland häufig in Anspruch; das begünstigt ihre spätere Bereitschaft zur beruflichen Mobilität.
