Verringerung der Arbeitslosigkeit bei anziehender Konjunktur. Prognose für 1999 und 2000

Abstract

Die österreichische Konjunktur erreichte zur Jahreswende ihren Tiefpunkt, seither weisen die Indikatoren tendenziell nach oben. Das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt wird 1999 um 2,2% und 2000 um 2,6% wachsen. Die Exportentwicklung ist zunächst noch gedrückt, wird sich aber mit der Festigung der europäischen Konjunktur und der Stabilisierung auf den "Emerging Markets" zunehmend erholen. Die Inlandsnachfrage nimmt in beiden Jahren kräftig zu und trägt wesentlich zur Verbesserung der Arbeitsmarktlage bei. Die Arbeitslosigkeit geht erstmals seit 1994 spürbar zurück: 1999 um 10.000 und im Jahr 2000 um 6.000.
