Der Wirtschaftsbereich Holz–Papier. Wirtschaftliche und technische Wettbewerbsfähigkeit

Abstract

Der exportintensive Industriecluster Holz–Papier beschäftigt in mehr als 10.000 Betrieben fast 125.000 Arbeitskräfte. Seine Produktpalette reicht von den rohstoffnahen Säge- und Zellstoffprodukten über Platten und Holzkonstruktionen bis zu Spezialmöbeln und beschichteten Papieren. Technisch hat der gesamte Bereich im letzten Investitionszyklus stark aufgerüstet und ist in bezug auf die Prozeßtechnik zum Teil führend in Europa. Dennoch liegen Innovationspotentiale brach. Sektorübergreifendes Technologiemanagement, verstärkter Einstieg in die Energieversorgung sowie eine Reihe von Produktinnovationen könnten die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit des Clusters Holz–Papier längerfristig absichern.
