Strukturprobleme der Industrie lösen regionale Krisen aus. Die Wirtschaft in den Bundesländern 1992

Abstract

Mit der Abschwächung der Konjunktur sind die regionalen Disparitäten im Wirtschaftswachstum seit zwei Jahren gering. Die regionale Konjunktur war von Strukturproblemen in energie- und lohnintensiven Industriezweigen geprägt. Die Industrie erzeugte insbesondere in alten Industriegebieten, Randgebieten und teilweise auch in Zentralräumen weniger als im Vorjahr. Vor allem in der Steiermark, in Oberösterreich und Vorarlberg wirkte die gute Baukonjunktur den rezessiven Tendenzen entgegen. Der Bauboom ließ in der Ostregion nach, die Industrie profitierte dort jedoch von der Inlandsnachfrage und den Exporten nach Ost-Mitteleuropa. Die internationale Konjunkturschwäche trifft den Tourismus in den Großstädten und Baderegionen am stärksten. Der Westen schnitt auch im Sektor der produktionsorientierten Dienstleistungen tendenziell besser ab.
