Abstract

Der Präsident des WIFO, Bundeskammerpräsident und Abgeordneter zum Natinalrat i. R., Ing. Rudolf Sallinger beging in den ersten Septembertagen seinen 75. Geburtstag. Rudolf Sallinger hat eine erfolgreiche Epoche der politischen und wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung unseres Landes, oft entscheidend, mitgeprägt. Dem WIFO steht er als Präsident seit 19 Jahren vor. In dieser Zeit war er ein Garant für die Unabhängigkeit unserer Tätigkeit und ein verständnisvoller Helfer in allen Problemfällen, die auch die Wirtschaftsforschung mit sich bringt. Seine Leistungen verschaffen ihm schon jetzt einen besonderen Platz in der Geschichte des Österreichischen Instituts für Wirtschaftsforschung.
