EG-Binnenmarkt und Wettbewerbsstärke der österreichischen Sachgütererzeugung

Abstract

In den Beziehungen zwischen der EG und Österreich bestehen weiterhin nicht-tarifäre Handelshemmnisse. Die Vollendung des EG-Binnenmarktes wird verstärkten Wettbewerbsdruck vor allem auf solche geschützten Bereiche ausüben. Davon sind fast die Hälfte der in der österreichischen Sachgütererzeugung Beschäftigten betroffen; ein Viertel davon arbeitet in wettbewerbsschwachen Sektoren. Für diese, aber auch für die anderen betroffenen Bereiche sind neue Unternehmensstrategien und industriepolitische Rahmenbedingungen nötig, um ihre Wettbewerbsfähigkeit auch in Zukunft zu sichern.
