Sonderentwicklung in Deutschland überlagert internationale Konjunkturabkühlung

Abstract

Das Wirtschaftswachstum der Industrieländer hat sich um die Jahreswende 1989/90 verlangsamt. Die meisten Industriestaaten konnten durch eine restriktive Geldpolitik die Überhitzungserscheinungen eindämmen und auf einen soliden Wachstumspfad einschwenken. Am stärksten dämpften die USA, Großbritannien und Schweden ihre Nachfrage. Der wichtigste Konjunkturmotor ist die dynamische Investitionstätigkeit in Europa (in Erwartung der Vollendung des europäischen Binnenmarktes 1992). Der Abbau der Arbeitslosigkeit ist zum Stillstand gekommen. Die Prognosen bis 1991 unterstellen eine Abschwächung der internationalen Konjunktur, d. h. eine Verlangsamung des Wirtschaftswachstums in der OECD insgesamt von 3,5% 1989 auf 2,8% 1990 und 3% 1991. Die deutsch-deutsche Währungsunion wirkt vorwiegend in der BRD nachfragebelebend.
