Wachstumsschub in der Luftfahrt

Abstract

Das Wachstum der Luftfahrt hat sich mit dem Konjunkturaufschwung und durch ermäßigte Flugtarife kräftig belebt. Im internationalen Vergleich ist die Luftfahrt in Österreich noch wenig ausgebaut. Die Zahl der Flugpassagiere ist, gemessen an der Wohnbevölkerung, in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland um die Hälfte größer, in den USA fünfmal so groß wie in Österreich. Die Infrastruktur der heimischen Luftfahrt wurde Mitte der siebziger Jahre so kräftig ausgeweitet, daß bis zur Jahrtausendwende kaum Wachstumsbegrenzungen zu erwarten sind.
