Abstract

En este trabajo se describen algunos resultados, acerca de las características de la vivienda, de la Encuesta de Presupuestos Familiares, efectuada en Mérida, Venezuela, en 1986. Los datos se observan bajo la óptica multivariante del Análisis Factorial de Correspondencias Múltiples. En la investigación, se efectúan “retratos” de la posición que toman las numerosas características, y se analizan las interrelaciones entre todas las variables bajo estudio, lográndose destacar dos perfiles: “bienestar” y “vivienda”. El ingreso familiar se toma, a efectos del análisis, como una variable ilustrativa, observándose cómo los recursos monetarios inciden en gran parte, sobre el “bienestar” familiar y, en menor grado, sobre la estructura física de la vivienda.
