Abstract

Estamos aquí al abrigo de este sobrio y glorioso recinto, póstumo vestigio de las candelas federales, con la venia de esta audiencia, luminosa expresión del pueblo en sus dos más genuinas representaciones: la Asamblea Legislativa y el Consejo de esta prócera ciudad de Mérida. Nos hemos congregado para hacer memoria del acto académico mediante el cual fue creada la Facultad de Economía de la ilustre Universidad de Los Andes hace, por estos días, treinta años.
