Los efectos del desarrollo del mercado financiero sobre la política monetaria: el caso chileno

Abstract

A partir del mes de septiembre de 1973, comenzó a aplicarse en el país una nueva política económica cuyo objetivo principal consistía en la reducción de la tasa de inflación. Simultáneamente, las autoridades económicas crearon las condiciones para que surgiera y se desarrollara un activo mercado de capitales que, con el correr del tiempo, se ha caracterizado por un intenso crecimiento de instituciones y activos financieros.
