CHARNEY A. H. (1993) Migration and the public sector: a survey, Reg. Studies 27, 3133--326. A review of the existing literature on human migration reveals relatively few studies that explicitly examine the relationships between public policy decisions and human migration flows. The surveyed literature includes studies of national policies, such as defence spending, migration subsidies and intergovernmental transfers, as well as sub-national policies, such as welfare and unemployment benefits, state and local taxes, education and other public services. Suggestions for incorporating public sector information into existing migration analysis frameworks and further areas of research are provided. CHARNEY A. H. Faire la critique de la documentation disponible sur la migration humaine laisse voir que rares sont les études traitant explicitement des rapports entre la politique d'Etat et les flux migratoires. La documentation examinée comprend des études sur les politiques d'envergure nationale, telles les dépenses militaires, les subventions à la migration et les transferts entre gouvernements, ainsi que les politiques aux niveaux inférieurs, telles le welfare et les allocations-chômage, les impôts nationaux et locaux, l'éducation et d'autres services publics. On fait des propositions concernant l'utilisation de l'information relative au secteur public dans le cadre des analyses actuelles sur la migration et on suggère d'autres domaines de recherche. Eine Untersuchung der vorhandenen Literatur über menschliche Wanderung zeitigt verhältnismäßig wenige Studien, die ausdrücklich die Beziehung zwischen Entscheidungen der Regierungspolitik und menschlichen Wanderbewegungen untersuchen. Die untersuchte Literatur umfaßt sowohl Studien der Landespolitik wie z.B. Verteidigungs-ausgaben, Umzugssubventionen und Beamtenver-setzungen, wie auch solche auf untergeordneter Ebene, wie Wohlfahrts- und Arbeitslosenunterstützung, staatliche und örtliche Steuern, Schulwesen und andere öffentliche Dienste. Es werden Vorschläge zur Einbeziehung von Informationen des öffentlichen Sektors in bereits bestehende Wanderungsanalysenstrukturen und für weitere Forschungsgebiete unterbreitet.
