    Abstract

    Raportul de tara al Comisiei Europene pe anul 2001 exprima punctul de vedere oficial potrivit caruia România a înregistrat progrese în directia crearii unei economii de piata functionale dar nu va fi capabila, pe termen mediu, sa faca fata presiunilor concurentiale si fortelor pietei din cadrul Uniunii. Analizele facute în diferitele capitole care au legatura cu activitatea industriala converg catre concluzia nefavorabila referitoare la vulnerabilitatea economiei românesti, determinata, în primul rând, de competitivitatea precara a produselor/serviciilor oferite pe pierele internarionale, dar si de pozitiile reale dezavantajoase pe care se situeaza în raporturile cu Uniunea Europeana pe planurile dezvoltarii economice, deschiderii spre exterior si stadiului de maturizare a mecanismelor de piata.
