Evaluation Of Urban Lentic Water Quality Using Multivariate Statistical Analysis
AbstractThe present study was conducted with the objective of evaluating the factors that significantly influence the surface-water quality-parameters in the industrial town of Asansol, West Bengal, India. Composite sampling of water was conducted at 5 major lakes spread across the city. This study also shows the effects of urbanization and industrialization on the fresh water storage system. Not only that the results of this study clearly indicates the effects of coal mining on the ground water quality.
