Abstract

. ABSTRACT In this paper we study the relationship between economic growth and public capital. The main aim is to analyze if the provision of public capital in Spain and Andalusia favor the growth of private sectors productivity in both areas and how the public capitals composition of the region and the adjacent regions is important. For this purpose, we estimate an error correction model with aggregate data for the Spanish economy. With regional panel data, we analyze the existence of unitary roots and cointegration using contrasts for this type of data. In addition, we estimate the Cobb-Douglas function using between and within DOLS estimators and we do the OLS estimation.
