Abstract

ABSTRACT This work analyses the contribution to convergence in Spanish regions of product and employment sectoral composition, during 1955-93. It tries to determine the importance of that sectoral composition on the change in the convergence velocity between 1955-75 and 1977-93. It concludes that the sectoral composition affects the regional convergence, in a very important way, so that it justifies sectoral oriented regional policies.
