Abstract

[eng] Methodological individualism revised by the economics of conventions : an critical analysis. . This paper investigates the methodological point of view of the Economies of Conventions. The latter is original because it attempts to apply the Popper-Agassi principle to the plan of the Economics of Conventions that is to analyse the collective nature of the market. In order to carry out its plan, the Economics of Conventions proposes to overtake the conflict of methods between the methodological individualism and the methodological holism. But, the positive contribution of the Economics of Conventions is fraught with obscured by ambi-guities and approximations. So as to to clarify those, this paper carries out a distinction between the functional holism and the morphogenetical individualism. In this frame, the Economics of Conventions needs a new methodological holism sketched in our conclusion.
