Abstract

[fre] La politique des revenus en France est l'un des instruments par lesquels la nation a choisi de réguler les revenus au stade de leur formation. Cet article indique comment l'idée en fut lancée en France, ses principales caractéristiques, l'importance des taux de croissance de la productivité et des considérations rela­tives à l'équité.. On explique pourquoi l'idée ne fut pas mise en pratique faute de consensus. On résume enfin les procédés par lesquels les gouvernements successifs ont tenté pragmatiquement de briser l'engrenage inflationniste prix-salaires. [eng] Incomes police in France. . Incarnes policy is one of the means by which a Nation chooses to regulate the development of household incomes. This article describes how the idea was launched in France, its main features, the overall importance of productivity growth rates and equity considerations. It explains why the idea failed for lack of consensus. It gives finally a survey of thé devices by which the successive governments have sought pragmatically to curb the price — wage spiral up to 1978.
