Abstract

[fre] Deux à trois fois moins d'agriculteurs : tel est le bilan des 25 dernières années dans les pays de la CEE. Les évolutions ne sont pas identiques d'un pays à l'autre, mais un trait presque général apparaît : le ralentissement de la baisse à partir du début ou du milieu des années soixante-dix. Ce ralentissement n'est que temporaire dans certains pays. Dans les autres (pays du nord essentiellement) il se prolonge dans la période récente. On peut y voir, en partie, l'effet de la montée du chômage. [eng] The number of agricultural workers in the EEC countries has become two or three times smaller over the last 25 years. Evolutions vary from one country to the next, but there has been a general tendency towards a slackening of this decline since the beginning or the middle of the seventies. The slowing-down is but temporary in certain countries. Yet, in others (namely in the northern countries) it persists well into recent periods. This may partly be explained by the rise of unemployment.
