Abstract

[eng] In 1938, the Crédit Agricole is yet of limited importance : it concerns 15 % of masculine active farming population. During the Third Republic, it is financed for the most part by public funds. Its aim is to promote a model of competitive -peasant agriculture by middle and long term loans. However, in time and space, the model knows several adaptations. The creation of the Office du Blé gives importance to short term loans. According to farming areas, politics of Caisses régionales vary.
