Abstract

[eng] Future challenges to the development of private equity . Private equity occupies a smaller place than credit or the stock exchange in terms of payroll and capital volumes. It holds a crucial position, however, with respect to growth companies. We should be very pleased with how well the private equity industry has developed in our country and should congratulate both the private players (companies, portfolio management teams, investors) and public agencies (government, OSEO, CDC) that have contributed to this development. Treated as a subsidiary asset class, and often as a variable factor in the adjustment of composite portfolios, private equity is becoming increasingly representative of our economic structure and will become even more so as it continues to develop in the decades to come. . . Classification JEL : G23, G24, G29
