Délocalisations et pressions des marchés financiers

Abstract

. Classification JEL : F21, F36, G10, O57 [eng] Offshoring and pressures of financial markets . The article makes a distinction between two types of offshoring : firstly, when it is « justified » by comparative benefits, production factor endowment, the size of the internal markets and cost levels, and secondly when it is « excessive » in that it is based on disproportionate profitability targets. The article aims to examine the existence of a link between the scale of relocations, in their widest sense, and changes in (possibly excessive) profitability for companies and, therefore, the pressure of the financial markets, by comparing situations in several countries. . JEL classification : F21, F36, G10, O57
