Abstract

[eng] European and American carbon markets-Two points of view . This interview deals with European and American carbon markets’ development. Richard Sandor, chairman and chief executive officer of Chicago Climate Exchange Inc., first presents how the Chicago Climate Exchange was established without any governmental policy as a voluntary market. He deals with its development and future. Jean-François Conil-Lacoste, chief executive officer of Powernext SA, exposes the Powernext Carbon implementation and its positioning on the market. At last, each interviewee gives its point of view about necessary evolutions for a better cooperation in combating climate change policies. . . Classification JEL : G15, Q54
