Abstract

[eng] What future for socially responsible investment ? . This sort of investment raises fundamental questions. What grounds does it have ? What are its vocations : to develop itself as a partitioned segment of traditional financial management or to favour asset management’s changes ? Challenges of its profitability, of its influence on corporate’s behaviour, of its credibility and its professionalism stand between these two prospects. This article tries to answer these questions giving heed to social responsibility. This notion is in the heart of management’s challenges just as well corporate management as financial management. This idea brings together plenty of schools of thought that we can organize into two areas : the first favours investment into definite causes ; the second considers social responsibility as a managerial risk assessment’s parameter and as a financial investment’s incentive. . . Classification JEL : G11, G23, Z13
