Abstract

[eng] Responsibility of major financial centres as regards emerging markets development . Emerging markets have faced an outstantding development over the last couple of years, mainly thanks to some economic, regulatory or technological changes. For their appropriate implementation, international cooperation has enabled emerging stock markets to benefit from the experience gathered by more mature market places, for example : in the fields of transactions organization, supervision of operations or admission to negotiations. Such a cooperation has been carried out sometimes on a bilateral basis, sometimes on a multilateral basis, within organizations such as IFC or IOSCO.
