Abstract

[eng] Relying on the property's tax-return files and sale's contracts, the author of this paper focuses on a close examination of the market in the xvimh century. He aims at shedding light on the major features who govern the functioning of market in three little towns of North of France, Armentières, Comines and Le Cateau. Obviously, the little towns couldn 't compete the towns of upper rank by the market's volume. Indeed, the exchanges concern especially small sales, in this case property's portions and mediocre houses. The little towns were characterized by a hight agitation of market certified by the mobility of property 's stock and the transaction 's seasonality. Indeed, the dispersion of the property that didn't benefit from rich house-owner, and the relative weakness of the ecclesiastical patrimony encouraged the exchanges' fluidity.
