Abstract

[eng] The Health of a Blue-collar Worker at the End of his Career - The professional life of blue-collar workers involves periods of work at a sustained speed, physically strenuous activities, night work or shift work. In the long term, these con- training working conditions have unquestionable effects on workers' health, the health of those who were subjected to these constraints deteriorates faster than that of the others. . However, the workers who are presently subjected to these conditions are in much better health. Why? Because a selection based on the criterion of health is actually being effected: the healthier workers get the most strenuous positions and stay there.
