Abstract

[eng] Family structures and social environment - Socio-professional categories are differentiated first by the proportion of young people and women that they contain. In this way, young people are shown to be most numerous in two socio-professional groups, workers and employees. Often, they are still living with their parents. In the mlcid'o of their lives, between the ages of thirty and fourty-four, eight people out of ten live in couples. Among those who remain single, men are seen to be the most underprivileged — workers and farmers — and women are seen to be the most comfortable — women « cadres ». Working women, as a rule however, are in an inferior socio-professional situation to that of the person with whom they live. Finally, certain categories reveal familial structures that are rather special in relation to their social environment, for example, occupations in the arts and show business of farm workers.
